Notre Dame Fam

Here we are before the big game. What a great day to be an Irish fan. I was a little nervous at times but the good guys prevailed 38 to 31.

Luck O the Irish

Today I stooped to an all time low. Amongst a full team of young Notre Dame chearleaders, I chose to get the picture with the Leprochan. This one is definately for you MOM. Luckily there was a fence between us and the Stanford fans, who couldn't hold back the heckles regarding this incident.

Happy Turkey Day

What a great Turkey day we had here in CA. So much to be thankful for this past year. The little dude was thankful on this great day to be hanging out with a cute MT princess, Alexis, who is 1 1/2 months younger. The bruiser won't have many girlfriends in the future though unless he softens his touch. Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!

Go Irish!

Looks like we've got another McKethen Notre Dame Irish fan on our hands. He sure looks proud to wear his new outfit from his Vegas Gramma and Grampa.

Wagonwheel Snack

Matthew loves these new wagonwheel treats. They're about the diameter of a golf ball believe it or not. They taste kindof like apple jacks. The big boy seems to be trimming down a hair. You can almost see a neck now. He sure is something. Pure entertainment.

Family Photo

This family pic turned out a little better than the last one we posted.

Grampa Joe's Baby Picture

About 2 days later we received a couple of photos of Matthew's Grampa Joe when he was a baby. He is 10 months old in this one. After seeing this we decided there is no question he's a McKethen.

Nick's Baby Pic

Nick's mom brought some of Nick's baby pics when they were here. Matthew just turned 8 months old & this is Nick at 8 months. We were amazed at how much Matthew resembles his dad. Hard to believe Nick was ever this chunky, huh!

3 Generations

3 generations of McKethens

Curious George

This boy takes every opportunity to study his surroundings. He is like a sponge now which can be both a good thing and bad. I've got to quit picking my nose before he catches on. Oh and Shawn, just so you know, this isn't a Bronco outfit.

The California Cowboy

Here is another one of those wanna be California Cowboys. The difference is, although you can't see his feet, he is clicking his heels hoping to move to real Cowboy Country where he belongs.

Mustang Matthew

Starting him early with the blue oval. The growl of the stang put a smile on his face. He looks a little nervous behind the wheel though. I get a little nervous too, but only when his mom is driving.

Sleepy Tiger

He still often sleeps in this "I surrender" position. Usually with his soft blanket pressed up to his cheeks. Surprisingly this picture was taken while Jeff Gordon won the race a few weeks back. What can I say, it's in his blood.

Swing Low Sweet Matthew

This boy loves his swing in the back yard. He is all smiles when when he's in motion. Again, notice the "lush" gopherless back yard.

The "Froggy Prince" of Halloween

Big Mac was a Frog Prince for his first Halloween. This was one of the best Halloweens for us since we didn't have to dress up, but still got tons of candy. He had a great time at the church's kid carnival.

Matthew "Standing" on his Own

Our Baby sure is growing fast. He loves to stand against things and reach for anything he can get his hands on. Especially telephones and remote controls. It has amazed us at how he is drawn to things he shouldn't be getting into. His chunky thighs are beginning to show signs of muscle.

A Proud Boy in a Gopherless Back Yard

Matthew sure loves the outdoors. His curious blue eyes have much new terrain to scan over outside. He really loves his gopherless back yard. Although his birth certificate says the CA word on it like his Grampa Matt, he is a Montana boy at heart.

McKethen Family at the Beach

We intended to go to the beach, as the day was very sunny and beautiful. Unfortunately, the closer we got to the beach the foggier it got. Big Mac still loved looking at the waves, people, and birds. He especially enjoyed getting spoiled by his Las Vegas Grandparents who came to visit for the weekend.

Our Little "Bruiser"

Matthew got his 1st battle wound last night on his noggin as you can see. I think Amy cried more than he did after his nose dive. It must not have hurt him too bad as he has been smiling all day long.
